Bayer Leverkusen are looking to sign Chelsea's Djordje Petrovic and the German press have likened the keeper to Bayern Munich legend Manuel Neuer.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Chelsea signed Petrovic in the summer of 2023 from MLS side New England Revolution and loaned the Serbian goalkeeper out last summer to Strasbourg, where he has impressed pundits and fans. His future at Stamford Bridge remains undetermined, with Enzo Maresca opting to trust Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen.

  reports that Chelsea goalkeeper Petrovic is a candidate for Leverkusen, with Matej Kovar will more than likely leave the club, while Lukas Hradecky will be demoted. Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia has been linked with a move to Die Werkself in recent weeks and is still a summer target alongside Stefan Ortega and Noah Atubolu. However, Leverkusen are trying to find keepers for less than €30 million (£26m/$34m), and Petrovic could be the perfect option.
